Quitting
Smoking With The Power
Of Fear!
The truth hurts, use it to
help you stop smoking
You hate
seeing those “Truth” commercials where they
show you the ill effects of prolonged
cigarette addiction, don’t you? Yeah, that
makes two of us. You don’t have to be a
smoker to be disgusted at those
commercials. So many people dead or dying,
sick and in failing health, it’s a wonder
that everyone doesn’t quit right then and
there.
Quitting
smoking is no easy game, my friends.
And in order to attack this situation,
you need some help from an outside
source sometimes. Yeah, you can quit
anytime you want, right? I highly doubt
that you believe that - and I know for a
fact that nobody else does. When it
comes to your bout with quitting
smoking, you’re the one in charge
and the one who makes the ultimate
decision. So let’s make sure you get a
good kick-in-the-pants
jumpstart.
Let the Fear Wash
over You
With a few steps put in
place, we can change your mind about
smoking! Have you ever stuck a metal
object into an electrical outlet? Who
hasn’t, right? Well, I bet you never
made that same mistake twice! It’s
all about the fear.
Step 1: Do
your homework! Go online, to the
library, or anywhere you can to find
information on the adverse effects of
smoking cigarettes. Take a look at
the different ways these things can
and will kill you.
Step 2:
Visit your local hospital. If your
hospital has a cancer ward, go, if
even for 20 minutes, and spend some
time with a person suffering from
lung cancer - in any stage. You’ll
see that quitting smoking is the one
thing these people should have
done.
Step 3:
Hold your breath for 4 minutes. What,
you can’t do it? Well, when you die
from emphysema or lung cancer, that’s
how it’s going to feel, only 20-times
greater. You won’t be able to
breathe. There’s no struggle, there’s
no fight, there’s just no more
air.
Step 4:
Come to realization that the fear is
real. Never think that it can’t
happen to you. You’re not magical;
you’re not immune. Have you ever had
a broken nose, black eye, sore
throat, broken bone, or any other
injury? Exactly my point! You are not
Superman.
Quitting
smoking now is not the right
choice, it’s the only choice. Nothing
good can possibly come from cigarette
addiction. There’s nothing about your
life that is made better from
smoking.
If you need to be reminded
that quitting smoking is something
you need to do, employ these first
three steps and let the fear keep
your screwdriver out of the light
socket!
